For the One
Freedom House, now FOR THE ONE
We are for the one who’s life matters.
For the One is an organization that brings awareness to, advocates for, and assists survivors of the human sex trafficking industry.
We train ambassadors who believe their voices have value in changing the world of human sex trafficking. Our team stands for the truths of this industry, and bringing light to that darkness. Our mission is to let every hear hear the darkness, and join us in hope for real change in this world. Every life and voice matters; victims, survivors, yours.
For the One serves the women survivors of human sex trafficking. Through finances raised by our Fund Freedom banana bread, we are able to support women who are on the last stage (Phase 3, see below) of their journey to “normal life”. After the process of coming out of the “life”, going through recovery, therapy, programs, etc. they are ready to be equipped with tools for successfully living; healed, whole, restored and committed to their new life.
As we have discovered through our Freedom House transitional housing program, assistance in this stage is absolutely necessary. If these women do not have support during this transition, falling back into the “life” in extremely likely.
WHAT IS PHASE THREE?
For the One’s Phase Three program is the gradual reintroduction into “normal” life from the programs they graduate from. This process includes finding a job, apartment/house, getting enrolled in school, etc. It is our goal to see their real-life transition become successful sustainability. This requires constant support, commitment and mentoring from our team to see success at the end of it all.
The intense need for this was discovered through the last phase of Freedom House New Mexico’s program when it was actively serving these women. There is a lack in this area of service for survivors, and our vision is to specialize in this area, allowing us to provide in this way the best and fullest of our ability.
WHAT DOES FOR THE ONE OFFER FOR PHASE 3 SURVIVORS?
Financial assistance in areas such as;
Necessary items needed to create a home; furniture, bedding, appliances, etc.
Unforeseen life needs )that could be potential setbacks/triggers; car issues, vision, health, dental needs, etc.
